Freedom Trikers at county park

Freedom Trikers, a not-for-profit organization which focuses on children with disabilities and illnesses and the elderly, is having its annual celebration today through Sunday at Jefferson County Park.

Activities during the three-day event include trike rides, games and an auction. All proceeds raised will go toward the Freedom Trikers cause.

A dinner will be held today at 5 p.m. On Saturday, trike rides and games begin at 2 p.m., dinner is at 5 p.m. and the auction begins at 6 p.m. Events continue through Sunday.

The Freedom Trikers have donated thousands of dollars to the Iowa City Ronald McDonald House, Blank Children?s Hospital and the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics children?s ward. The organization also sponsors the Challenger baseball team.
