The Fairfield couple, their 3-year-old son Ryker, 5-year-old daughter Cassidy and their dogs, lost their home on West Briggs Avenue to a fire the morning of Dec. 29.
Fire chief Scott Vaughan said the home is likely irreparable; it sustained heavy smoke and water damage.
While the family is grateful to be safe, they said it is difficult to face the road ahead. They have insurance to help purchase a new home, but won?t recoup appliances, furniture, clothes or any other belongings.
Donations for the family can be dropped off at any MidWestOne Bank.
