Fundraiser planned for Hochstetler family

Crawfordsville Fun Days which be held Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6 will begin on Friday evening with a Cornhole Tournament open to all from 6-9 p.m. and the El Gringo Loco (Food Truck) will also be present during those hours.
On Saturday, July 5, the day will kick off with the Fire Department hosting a Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast from 6-9 a.m. A Car, Truck , Tractor and Garden Tractor Show will be held from 7 a.m.-noon. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
JT Sips and DeLovely's Delicious Donuts will be here. At 9:30 a.m. the Parade Line up is at the School. Parade is at 10 a.m. Sponsored BY PEOPLES SAVINGS BANK. There will be Firemen's Water Fights at 10:45.
From 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., there will be Face Painting, Pony Rides Sponsored by McELHINNEY LIVESTOCK and the Crawfordsville Lions will be serving lunch. Sign up for Pedal Pull is at 11:30 a.m. At noon OHANA Pedal Pullers kids pedal pull will be held. The day will conclude at 1 p.m. with a Slow Tractor/Vehicle Race.
All events will take place in and in front of the Crawfordsville Fire Station.
Along with all of this the Crawfordsville Community Club will be hosting a Silent Auction July 5-6 to raise funds for Joey Hochstetler who was recently diagnosed with cancer to help with necessary house repairs.
Auction item donations will be accepted through Friday July 5. To donate please contact Karen Dennler at 319-330-9985 0r Terry McElhinney at 319-750-2908. Auction will be open from 5 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday. Need not be present to win.
ANNUAL FISH FRY
The United Church of Crawfordsville is holding their annual Fish Fry on Saturday evening, July 6 from 4:30-7 p.m. This will be a Free-Will Donation and all proceeds will be divided between the Food Pantry and the Hochstetler Family.
LOWE FAMILY REUNION
Descendants of Clarance and Nin Lowe gathered for a potluck meal at noon on Sunday, June 16, 2024 in the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Crawfordsville.
Attending from the Earl and Ina Mae Lowe family were Wayne and Debbie Lowe of Columbus Jct. and Renee Lowe of Cheyenne,WY; from Lyle "Dude" and Marie Lowe family were Phyllis Eisele of Washington, Mary Fabian of Coralville and Larry and Tammy Lowe of Crawfordsville; from the Don and Maxine Lowe Miller family were Peg Twait of Winona, MN. and Brenda McCauley of Minneapolis, MN.; from the Cleo and Arlene (Lowe) Fletcher family were Larry and Donna Fletcher Crawfordsville, Mick and Kathy Garris of Winfield and Steve and Pam Green of Washington; and representing the Cleo and Betty (Lowe) McCoy family were Bob and Robyn Lamb of Washington and Lorna McCoy of Iowa City.
