A fundraiser for the remaining money needed for the Shaffner Players truck was held on Monday, Nov. 9, at Jerry?s Restaurant, raising over $2,000.
A soup, sandwich and dessert supper was provided by Sheila Allender and Ruth Rhoades, with a short skit also presented by Toby J. Tolliver (also known as Brian Iles) and his crew.
In addition to raising over $2,000, a free-will donation offering taken for the meal raised over $1,000. Money was also collected thanks to Ruth Rhoades and Debbie Vandersnick. Rhoades provided cookies and homemade noodles that were sold during the evening, while Vandersnick provided handmade rose pens for sale.
All donations made and funds raised will help make it possible for the Toby and Suzie Show to go on the road.
