Jefferson County Republican Women are sponsoring a presentation, ?The Light Beyond the Curtain,? by Ule Glenn of Ottumwa, at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The presentation will be at the McElhinny House, 300 N. Court St. There is no charge and the presentation is open to the public.

The presentation will be at the McElhinny House, 300 N. Court St. There is no charge and the presentation is open to the public.
Glenn came to the U.S. in the 1950s as a young child with her family from Germany. She grew up hearing family stories about her homeland. Since her parents? deaths, she has read her mother?s diaries, gaining a deeper understanding of Germany in the early decades of the 20th century.
Glenn is concerned with the direction the U.S. is headed and wants to share about Germany?s history prior to World War II.
