Golf outing benefits families fighting cancer

After a year hiatus, the Henry County Women 4 Women’s organization is, once again, holding the annual fundraiser on Tuesday, July 13, at the Mt. Pleasant Golf and Country Club.

This year promises to be better than ever.

You can play in a two-gal best shot, play bridge, or join a host of other women in table games. There will be special, decorated bar stools to buy for the evening. In addition, plans include silent auction baskets loaded with goodies and a meal for all participants.

Women 4 Women gives Henry County women and their families financial support during their fight with cancer. Food and gas cards are given throughout the year by H2O — Help to Others — on our behalf.

In the past, we have donated items to the hospital’s infusion department and to Every Step (hospice) to help with their work with these families.

Registrations forms are available at the Mt. Pleasant Golf Club, or online at: MPGCC, under “Leagues,” and then Women’s Leagues.

These must be mailed, with an entry fee made out to the Mt. Pleasant Golf and Country Club, attn: Chris Martin, 2275 Hickory Ave., in Mount Pleasant no later than July 6.

Bridge begins at 4:30 p.m. with other activities starting at 5:30 p.m.
