The Gothenburg Combo, consisting of guitarists David Hansson and Thomas Hansy, strive in every performance for maximum communication with the audience. In 2004, they won the first prize in the Concours International Guitar Duo Competition in Montelimar, France, the most prestigious award for duo guitarists. Their program includes guitar pieces by Manuel deFalla, Isaac Albeniz, Claude DeBussy, Astor Piazzola and Giachino Rossi. After intermission, their ?fun? pieces will include one of their own compositions, two Swedish folksongs, a Chinese folksong and pieces by Gershwin, the Beatles and Bacharach.
Season memberships will be available at the door. For information, call 472-4347.
