Training sessions for uncovering growth opportunities through government sales will be offered Tuesday at the Jefferson County ISU Extension and Outreach Office.
A session is set from 10-11 a.m. It will be repeated from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and participants are encouraged to bring their lunches.
The presenter will be Beth White, government contracting specialist with the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
The class is for anyone who has: considered selling to the government, but didn?t have a clue where to start; wondered who would even buy a product/service in the government; pursued or tried to pursue government contracts in the past and gave up due to frustration or just plan lack of resources; or wondered who can help in the endeavor.
Those who attend will learn about: available state resources that can assist in the process at no charge; considerations for a business prior to pursuing government sales; and some of the fundamental topics of successfully contracting with the government.
Registration is free, but seating is limited. Anyone planning to attend should contact White at whiteb@iastate.edu and indicate which session time he or she will be attending.
