Derek Robison, son of Melissa and Doug Robison of Richland, met with Governor Terry Branstad at the Iowa State Capitol recently. Robison, a sophomore at Iowa State University majoring in elementary education, is the recipient of the Branstad Education Scholarship. Robison was selected to be a Branstad scholar based on his academic achievement, enthusiasm for teaching, involvement in extracurricular activities and promise of leadership ability. The Branstad Education Scholarships were established in 1999 as part of Branstad?s commitment to further education.
