Grants available through Alliant Energy Foundation

CEDAR RAPIDS ? The Alliant Energy Foundation is seeking eligible nonprofits that focus on families, education or the environment for a grant from the Alliant Energy Foundation. The Foundation is accepting grant applications Aug. 1 through Sept. 1. Grants average about $2,000 and winners will be notified by Nov. 1.

Projects must share one of the foundation?s key focus areas: families, education or environment. Past projects to receive grants include mentoring programs, meal and nutrition programs, reading and literacy initiatives, dairy and agriculture education, STEM camps and nature trail restoration projects, among others.
