Grayhounds clamp down on Fairfield?s JV
The Fairfield JV softball team opened its season with a pair of losses at the hands of Burlington Tuesday.
The Trojans fell 7-3 in the first game and were edged 7-6 in the nightcap of the doubleheader.

The Fairfield JV softball team opened its season with a pair of losses at the hands of Burlington Tuesday.
The Trojans fell 7-3 in the first game and were edged 7-6 in the nightcap of the doubleheader.
In the first game, Trojan starter Alli Deao threw a complete game with six strikeouts, and she also helped her own cause at the plate with three singles. Runs were scored by Kelsey Roberts, Lindsey Repp and Alyssa Fitch.
Fairfield?s Mikaela Amendt pitched the first four innings of the second game, and Delaney Neil closed out the final three innings. Fairfield?s offense was led by Emma Kuehl?s three singles, while Amendt slapped two singles and Madison Mineart knocked in three runs.
The JV Trojans will play again on Wednesday at home against Mt. Pleasant.
