Great River Health Systems to offer running clinic for athletes

Great River Health Systems is offering a clinic for athletes who want to improve their running form, efficiency and speed.

Running Form and Efficiency: The Secret of Speed is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Great River Athletic and Performance Center, in the Great River Wellness Plaza, located at 1401 West Agency Road, in West Burlington.

Clinic topics include:

? Deep water running technique and workouts (discussion only)

? Dynamic and static strength training

? Dynamic and static stretches

? Running drills

? Running theory

Participants will receive a running clinic t-shirt and drill instructions. There is a registration fee. The clinic is limited to 30 participants.
