The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014 at the Washington County 4-H/Extension Building. Seven members were present. Vice President Ellie Todd led the meeting. Samantha Mellinger led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was what you?re your favorite gift you gave someone this year and what was your favorite gift you received this year?
The secretary?s minutes were read and approved by Ellie Todd. Natalie McCleary seconded. The treasurer?s report was given. Ally Rees moved to accept the treasurer?s report. Seconded by Sophie Bell.
The old business was discussed.
In new business, FSQA is scheduled for April 25, 8:30 a.m. to noon. There is information online for livestock exhibitors. The 4-H family skating party is an upcoming event later this month.
Bailey Rees motioned to adjourn the meeting, and was seconded by Ava Wolf. The 4-H Pledge was led by Ally Rees.
After the meeting was adjourned the club members enjoyed a Christmas Mystery Meal and gift exchange. The dads judged the cookies brought by each member picking the best tasting cookie and Ally Rees, Recreation Team Member, led the group in a game.
The next meeting will be held on the fourth Sunday of the month, Sunday, Jan. 25, at the Washington County 4-H/Extension Building where club members will learn about record books.
