Green Acres 4-H Club

The Green Acres 4-H Club of Washington County met on Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Washington County 4-H/Extension Building. Ten members were present. President Baylee Stalder led the meeting. Maggie Smith led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was what are you most thankful for?
Secretary Sophie Bell read the minutes of the previous meeting. Ava Wolf moved to accept the minutes, seconded by Ellie Todd. Ellie Bell gave the treasurer?s report. Ally Rees moved to accept the treasurer?s report. Seconded by Samantha Mellinger.
The old business was discussed.
In new business, the club chose to make homemade scrapbook Christmas cards and coffee creamer snowmen, and deliver them to the Washington County Hospital for patients hospitalized during the holidays. Ellie Bell moved to accept this service project and Baylee Stalder seconded it. Ava Wolf moved to accept the club have a Christmas $10 gift exchange, and Natalie McCleary seconded it. Sophie Bell moved to accept having a Green Acres 4-H Club Cookie Contest with the 4-H'ers dads judging the cookies. Ellie Todd seconded it.
Tips for giving a presentation were discussed by Green Acres 4-H Club leader Tanya Stalder and club members. Ellie Bell motioned to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Baylee Stalder. The 4-H Pledge was led by Ally Rees. Baylee Stalder gave a presentation titled Buffalo Chicken Dip. Refreshments were served by Ally and Bailey Rees at the conclusion of the meeting.
The next meeting will be held on the fourth Sunday of the month, Sunday, Dec. 28, at the Washington County Extension Building where club members will enjoy a mystery meal, hold a club cookie contest and have a gift exchange. Natalie McCleary, recreation team member, led the game, Pin the Stem on the 4-H Clover.
