The Green Acres 4-H Club was awarded a $420 DuPont Pioneer Grant to help off set the cost of the interior paint to repaint the Old Schoolhouse/Open Class Exhibit Building on the Washington County Fairgrounds. 4-H'ers scraped all of the old paint off the walls and ceiling. They primed the walls and now will finish with painting the walls and ceiling. We will work with Donna Palmer, Open Class new superintendent, Washington County Fairgrounds to complete this project. They invite other Washington County 4-H Clubs and community members to join the club using their labor to complete this project on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m.
The club will be painting the walls and ceiling. Please bring any painting supplies that you have on hand. The more tools available for everyone to use, the faster the club can get done. Dress messy for painting!
Please sign up to help and/or donate supplies and/or money toward this extensive project. Or for further info on how you can help, contact Sophie Bell, Green Acres 4-H Club Community Service Committee member at 319-653-1834.
