Green Mound Church to celebrate 175th anniversary

Green Mound is celebrating its 175th Anniversary on October 23rd. This church will be using its First Annual Soup Supper for the celebration.
Green Mound is a church that has a rich history in the Mount Pleasant area. At least once, the church has burned down and had to be rebuilt. Some seasons the congregation was as little as just a few people. Regardless of the storms that have come in the churches history, it has continued to persevere.
I have been the pastor for a year and we have seen God doing some great work and are very optimistic for what the future holds. At Green Mound, it’s more than just a church, it’s a family.
