While the title of Chairman might be new to Matt Greiner, post-frame construction definitely is not. In addition to serving on the National Frame Building Association (NFBA) board of directors, Greiner is also president of Greiner Buildings (started by his father Tom in the 1980s) and founder of Greiner Technology LLC. One could say post-frame is in his blood.
'We have already begun conquering many tasks and challenges,” Greiner is excited to report, 'including education and curriculum development which will be used to provide credentials to post frame building workers and in turn help curb the labor storage most of us face.”
Also, on the to-do list: post-frame-specific safety equipment manufacturing, R&D projects important to the evolution of post-frame construction, and planning for the 2020 Conference and Expo in Des Moines.
'Megan Miller, our new Executive Director and her team show a lot of energy, enthusiasm and new ideas,” adds Greiner. 'I can't wait to see what's in store for NFBA moving forward.”
And moving forward is something Greiner knows all about. He used to race stockcars.
ABOUT NFBA
National Frame Building Association (NFBA) is a nonprofit trade association that promotes the interests of the post-frame construction industry and its members. The association's members are primarily post-frame builders, suppliers, manufacturers, building material dealers, code and design professionals, and structural engineers.
NFBA is the only national trade association that represents post-frame industry professionals. The association exists to support its members and stimulate the growth of the post-frame industry by providing industry tools and code resources, education, access to technical and legal experts, builder accreditation programs, newsletters and post-frame market development updates, and networking opportunities.
Currently, there are approximately 800 NFBA member companies across the United States.
