Group wants to purchase land in Batavia to train horses

The City of Batavia will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 at the Batavia Community Center to hear comments on the proposed purchase of property at 104 4th St. Iowa Harness Association is looking to train and board up to 140 horses. In the future, they would like to have races there. William Roland will be there to answer questions.
