Guest artist to present piano recital

MOUNT PLEASANT ? Ian Moschenross, associate professor of music at Monmouth College, will present a free piano recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Chapel Auditorium on the Iowa Wesleyan campus in Mount Pleasant.

He will play works by Bach, Schumann, Mendelssohn and Shubert.

Moschenross, who has served on the Monmouth College faculty since 2004, is an active recitalist, chamber musician and accompanist in western Illinois. He has held the post of principal keyboard of the Knox-Galesburg Symphony since 2004. He is a frequent adjudicator in the area. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Hanover College and his master of music and doctor of musical arts degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
