A home at 305A S. 12th St. will be dedicated at 10 a.m. Saturday by the Greater Fairfield Area Habitat for Humanity.
The public is invited to attend and tour the refurbished home, which is located across the street east of Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store.
Local Habitat for Humanity volunteers have worked along side Markus Radtke and Jennifer Coates since October to improve the townhouse. A third bedroom was finished to accommodate the couple?s four children, ages 4 to 9. A deck was stained and enclosed to give the family storage for lawn tools. Walls were painted, laminate flooring installed, foundation graded and more.
Radtke and Coates took homeowner training and will assume a no interest mortgage.
Habitat for Humanity is an international organization working toward the vision of ?A World Where Everyone Has a Decent Place to Live.? More information about Greater Fairfield Area Habitat for Humanity is available at www.fairfieldhabitat.org, on Facebook or by calling 209-9450.
