Halcyon House

Hallway bingo has become the new norm and still very well-attended in the households at Halcyon House. To make bingo easer to play, we got the bingo cards with the little sliding covers that go over the number called. This makes it easier for everyone, instead of using the caps, as we used to do. Everyone has their own bingo card to keep in their room.

Tuesday was a beautiful day to be outside. Staff took residents outside for a ride around the facility and a look at all of the flowers that are either blooming or getting ready to bloom. Some daffodils were picked for everyone to enjoy, and the sunshine felt great!

The windows have been decorated with hearts for the enjoyment of anyone who walks by. And messages from the residents to their families have been posted on each household Facebook page. It's important that we stay connected with our families, to let them know that we are OK. The message shared by most of the household members was that they miss their family and want their family members to know they are thinking of them and love them.
