Reverend Dan Drost from the Washington Reformed Presbyterian Church led our weekly service on Sunday. His sermon was titled, ?A Greater Blessing? and included a Scripture reading from Job 42:12-17.

Six residents: Ethel Hendrickson, Marcella Reed, Irene Baughman, Phyllis Lyle, Carolyn Kaufman and Sybil Thornton enjoyed a Saturday afternoon of six-handed canasta. Irene hadn?t played since she was in a canasta club some 60 plus years ago!!!
The game room was packed on Monday to see the movie ?Brooklyn,? For some it was the second time. Those in attendance all agreed it was a wonderful story.
Mary Meeks went to the 2016 SEIBA Elementary Honor Band held at the High School on Saturday evening. Her great-granddaughter, Sage Adam, played the saxophone in the concert. After the concert grandson Aaron, wife Laura and children Sage, Elliott, Josie, Hazel, and 6-month-old Otto and Mary enjoyed an outdoor picnic at a local restaurant. Mary enjoyed the evening with her family.
Washington Community School Superintendent, Jeff Dicks, spoke to the residents on Tuesday and shared photos of the inside of the auditorium. The residents enjoyed the presentation.
Fritz Conrad is enjoying spending time with his daughter, Carolyn Jacobs and husband Richard. They are here from Florida visiting.
Residents continue to enjoy watching the progress of the new building project. They are anxiously awaiting the start of the exterior siding and stone.
