Fall is in the air, and the leaves are beginning to be so beautiful. Halcyon's Rosewood residents have been enjoying the cooler weather, with Trivia and music on the patio in the courtyard. Bird watching has become quite a hit, as we have so many birds that come to entertain us daily. There is a little purple finch, who seems quite friendly. He just hangs onto the feeder as we get close -- not a care in the world! He won't yet let us touch him, but he is fun to see. Maybe someday he will hop onto someone's finger!
The residents are finding their creative side, as we explore acrylic painting techniques. Some beautiful pieces of artwork are bringing many smiles to all who see them. Porch visits, Face Time and Zoom calls are happening weekly. As the harvest season begins, we at Rosewood wish everyone a safe harvest.
Residents of Arborwood have taken part in weekly games of bingo. They have also participated in leaf art, Uno, movies and popcorn, riddles and jokes, Music with Mary Jo, a video presentation about Burma Shave signs, and window and porch visits.
Sitler residents are enjoying outdoor visits with family.
At Lending Hands, September highlights included 'Cup Revival.” Participants painted designs on white mugs with pottery glaze, and have been waiting for them to be fired. Other activities included Music with Mary Jo, butterfly and leaf art, bingo, Trivia, Hang Man, apple art and apple tasting.
