The weekly church services were provided by Deacon Fran Victor, representing the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The sermon was titled 'Will You Come and Follow.” Scripture from Luke 9:51-62. Beth Janacek served as pianist.
June 26, Members from the Faith Baptist Church, with their Summer Serve program, came to Halcyon to share their time with our residents. Games were played, along with smiles and wonderful conversation. We certainly appreciate our time with this great group of kids and leaders.
Thursday mornings at Rosewood always include our Classics Et Cetera program.
Presented by Richard Colby, it's a welcome time to listen to beautiful and relaxing music.
Many composers are introduced each week.
Our residents of Sagewood and Wedgewood are treated on Thursdays, to a trip down to the Bistro.
Each week, a different 'Bistro Buddies” group gets to choose anything from the menu and good food and conversation ensues. It is a nice outing for everyone who participates.
Arborwood residents once again were baking. This week they made homemade Frosted Banana Muffins.
While the muffins baked, a lot of conversation was made, as we read from a book about reminiscing times long ago.
