Longtime friend, Marlie Greiner was a Thursday visitor of David Wright. The pair has lots of stories worth hearing.
The Halcyon House Ninth annual Craft and Vendor Fair was well attended last Saturday and a host of appreciation to the community for their ongoing support.
The Riverside Highlanders 4-H Club was here on Sunday to play beach volleyball with the residents. The group had some reservation at first, but once the first ball sailed over the net, it was game on. There was lots of laughter as this indoor sport proved to bring out the competitive side of the players. Homemade cookies were served to all after the workout with appreciation extended to the 4-H?ers.
The United Methodist Kids Club came to visit on Wednesday. They sang Christmas songs throughout the campus and passed out gift bags full of treats that they had prepared.
Christmas songs along with some ?oldies but goodies? tunes were the music entertainment on Monday afternoon. Butch Karn played the bass violin and was accompanied by piano player, Skip Clarquist. They are both from the Quad Cities and have been sharing their music talents performances for years.
Monday night at the movies featured the National Geographic movie titled ?Pearl Harbor Legacy of Attack.? The movie was narrated by Tom Brokaw as the momentous battle through riveting eyewitness accounts of both the American and Japanese survivors.
