Barb Steele had a fantastic weekend celebrating the wedding of her grandson, Christopher and Becca Widmer. Their journey began as Iowa college friends. Christoper is the son of Linda and Dick Widmer and former Washington residents. Those attending the union of marriage at the Celebration Barn in Solon were; Luke, Kerri, and children Ian and Allison Widmer, Drew and Thaedra Steele, Jenica and Tim Timmins and children, Benjamin and Anna. The family traveled from Florida and Tennessee. Barb remarked how wonderful it was to have her entire family all together and the wedding venue was outstanding.

It is worth your time to check out the photo display in the Avalon House entrance. A ?green screen? photo shoot was held a couple of weeks ago, and then different backgrounds were used to enhance and personalize the resident photos. Backgrounds included corn fields, a highway, water scenes, flower gardens and everything in between! In total there are 11 2-foot by 3-foot collage murals at Halcyon House for all to enjoy. Residents each received an 8 x 10 and eight 4 x 6 photos as gifts from Halcyon House.
