Mr. Lane was born Aug. 3, 1935, in Cabool, Mo., the son of James T. and Georgia Campbell Lane. He married Peggy Lane, and they later divorced.??

Survivors include three children: Deborah Jaquez of Fairfield, Michael Lane of Ohio and Karina Good of Fairfield; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers: James D. Lane of Fairfield, Daniel D. Lane of Brighton and Ronald J. Thomas of Webster, Texas; and four sisters: Karen Gordon of Washington, Iowa, Patricia Lathrop of Fairfield, Kathy Klett of Fairfield and Connie Gardner of Wales, Wis.??
