Harvest Festival to run Saturday, Sunday
The St. John?s 45th Annual Harvest Festival is starting a new tradition of running on both Saturday and Sunday this year.
The festival is Sept. 23-24 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Houghton. Saturday will feature food, auction and a special cash raffle. Food and drinks begin at 6:30 p.m. and the auction begins at 7 p.m. Tickets for the cash raffle can be purchased day of the sale. You must be present to win ...

The St. John?s 45th Annual Harvest Festival is starting a new tradition of running on both Saturday and Sunday this year.
The festival is Sept. 23-24 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Houghton. Saturday will feature food, auction and a special cash raffle. Food and drinks begin at 6:30 p.m. and the auction begins at 7 p.m. Tickets for the cash raffle can be purchased day of the sale. You must be present to win on Saturday.
Sunday is a continuation of the traditional roast beef dinner, featuring real mashed potatoes, canned sweet corn and homemade pie served from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. The auction will resume at 11:30 a.m. with grain selling first. There will be a cookery corner available featuring baked goods, garden produce and candy. Cash prizes can be won throughout the day as well as a raffle for a vacation package or cash.
Sunday?s raffle will be held at 3 p.m. Tickets are now being sold by Houghton area businesses. Everyone is welcome at the Harvest Festival.
