The public is invited to celebrate National Health Information Technology Week with Henry County Health Center. HIT Week focuses on the value of Healthcare Information Technology. This year, HCHC is focusing on supporting health care transformation and making communities healthier.
The HCHC Information Technology Department will be hosting a Lunch and Learn on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in HCHC?s Health Education Center to share information about HCHC?s Patient Portal, including newly planned upgrades to the system. Information also will be shared about CommonWell, a nationwide Health Information Exchange that the health center will be collaborating with. CommonWell allows the health center to send and receive patient documentation for patients in our care to any hospital or provider office connected to the CommonWell Network with permission from the patient.
Those attending the Lunch and Learn will get to see the Patient Portal and CommonWell in action and learn how to view test results, patient education documents, and see how CommonWell can help improve health care delivery across the state and the nation. RSVP for the Lunch and Learn by noon on Tuesday, Oct. 3, by calling 319-385-5407.
