HCHC offers free community program at the Rec Center
Henry County Health Center and the Mt. Pleasant Rec Center are offering a free community program on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 9:15 a.m., at the Rec Center. Jodi Geerts, Chief Nursing Officer at Henry County Health Center and the lead facilitator for the IPOST initiative for Henry County, will present a program about IPOST. Henry County Health Center and the Mt. Pleasant Rec Center are offering a free community program on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 9:15 a.m., at the Rec Center. Jodi Geerts, Chief Nursing Officer at Henry County Health Center and the lead facilitator for the IPOST initiative for Henry County, will present a program about IPOST. The public is invited to attend the presentation; you need not be a Rec Center member to attend.
Objectives of the IPOST (Iowa Physicians Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment) discussion are to:
?Identify the mission and vision of the IPOST initiative in Iowa.
?Identify the people the IPOST initiative is appropriate for.
?Identify the process to obtain an IPOST.
?Identify how additional information about IPOST can be obtained.
This is one program in a series of educational sessions that will be offered each month by HCHC at the Rec Center. HCHC is partnering with the Mt. Pleasant Rec Center to offer educational programs to enhance the health of individuals and our communities.
