HCHC to hold cooking with diabetes class

The public is invited to attend Henry County Health Center’s Cooking with Diabetes class on Thursday, Oct. 21.

Join HCHC Dietitian Natalee Gent and Registered Nurse Katie Westphal from noon to 1 p.m. as they prepare diabetes-friendly recipes to sample. The class will be held in HCHC’s Health Education Center in Mt. Pleasant.

Learn how to make cauliflower crust supreme pizza, balsamic garlic Brussel sprouts, and apple pie snack cups. Natalee and Katie will also give helpful tips for cooking for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Facemasks are required and participants must go through the COVID-19 screening at the front lobby entrance.
