Heartland School in Fairfield to host open house Saturday

Heartland School in Fairfield will host an open house from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.
The private school was founded in September 2021 and is located at the former Medical Arts Building at 408 S. Maple St. According to a news release, teachers and students at the school “seek after truth, beauty and goodness through study of Liberal Arts, Natural Science, Great Books, a rich and orderly study of History, Literature, and Fine Arts.”
The school was founded by Anna Spanton, and her mother Elizabeth Spanton is the school’s main teacher.
Iowa Rep. Jeff Shipley plans to speak at the open house.
