Henry County Conservation to host fly tying program
Aug. 18, 2021 1:01 pm
Fly Tying for Beginners with the Henry County Conservation Department will be held virtually on Aug. 24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Ever thought about trying fly tying? If so, this program is for you. After registering, you will receive an email containing the Zoom link. You can stop by the Henry County Conservation Office to pick up your kit (does not include thread) containing what you need to participate.
Deadline to pick up your kit is Monday, Aug. 23 by 5 p.m. During the program you can follow along with Danika, step by step, to create two of your own ties. If you do not have any equipment, you can borrow it from HCCD for a $100 deposit. The department’s equipment will contain thread. Once the equipment is returned and in good condition, your deposit check will be shredded. Cost is $10 per participant.
Note: This program is for beginners age 14 and over and will cover basic fly tying.
