Henry County Democratic Party to hold Fall Campaign Information and Planning event

The Henry County Democratic Party Central Committee is hosting a Fall Campaign Information and Planning event, Saturday, July 20. The event will be held at the Veterans Club, 103 South Jackson Street, Mt. Pleasant from 10 a.m. until noon.

The purpose of the event is to promote strong citizen participation in the fall General Election, slated for November 5. Topics will include voting procedures, legislative and precinct geography, means of communication with voters throughout Henry County and a calendar of events for the fall.

Moderators Mary Elgar and Dave Helman will also present a review of the September 10 special vote for Emergency Medical Services. The Henry County Board of Supervisors recently deemed EMS an essential service along with fire and law enforcement services.

The public is invited to attend. Attendees will be asked to sign-in at the door.
