Henry County Fair Queen Contestants

Who will be named the 2019 Henry County Fair Queen? That will be decided on Wednesday, July 17, as the queen contestants take the stage at the Wright Pavilion in McMillan Park. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m.

This year's queen contestants are listed below with a brief bio.

Sophie Lounsbury is the 19-year-old daughter of Joe and Koni Lounsbury of New London. In May, she graduated from New London Community High School as an honor roll member and this fall, she will be attending Iowa State University.

Alexis Brown, a New London native, is the 17-year-old daughter of Zach and Sara Brown. She graduated from New London High School this spring and will be attending Southeastern Community College this fall where she will be a sophomore.

Allyson Farley is the 16-year-old daughter of Carolyn Farley and Jason Farley of New London. She is currently a student at New London High School and is dual enrolled at Southeastern Community College. After graduating, she plans to attend the University of Iowa as a nursing major.

Kenna Smith is the 17-year-old daughter of Jason and Debbie Smith of Mt. Pleasant. This fall, Kenna will be a senior at Mt. Pleasant High School where she is a member of the softball team, volleyball team, dance team, student council, band, and she also participates in Silver Cord.

Madison Campbell, a Mt. Pleasant native, is the 17-year-old daughter of Missy and Jason Campbell. She attends Mt. Pleasant high school where she is a member of the volleyball team and participates in the music program. After high school she will be attending college which she is still deciding on.

Ashley DeMeyer is the 21-year-old daughter of Jim and Theresa DeMeyer of Mt. Pleasant. She is a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, graduated from Hawkeye Community College with an associate degree in liberal arts, and is now attending Iowa Wesleyan University where she is triple majoring in Physical Education, Exercise Science, and Wellness with a health endorsement and coaching authorization.
