Henry County Health Center announces diabetes educational classes for October
Sep. 30, 2021 12:59 pm
The Henry County Health Center Diabetes Education Center’s monthly Continuous Glucose Meter (CGM) Support Group will meet Tuesday, Oct. 12 from 2-3 p.m. in Suite 25 in the Diabetes Education Center.
This group is designed for anyone who currently wears a CGM or is interested in getting one. All of the group currently are Dexcom users, but individuals with other brands are welcome to attend
The group meets to support, educate, troubleshoot, and discuss the latest news regarding CGMs. Many times this leads into other topics specific to having Type 1 diabetes or being insulin dependent.
What once was a unique device is becoming more common for insulin dependent patients. The group not only supports and informs each other with CGM use, but is also a way for people to see that others with diabetes have the same day to day issues living with diabetes.
For more information, please call 319-385-6518.
