Henry County Historic Preservation meets

The Henry County Historic Preservation Commission met Wednesday, Sept. 16 at the Henry County Courthouse. Present were Cathie Schreiner, Caroline Lehman, Mary Savage, Judy Rawson, Aaron Kimzey, Larry D. Roth, Joel Garretson, and guests Pat White and Larry Brewster.

The primary focus of the meeting was the proofing and editing of the rural schools of Henry County book. The first draft was available for the meeting and Commissioners will be busy reviewing each chapter. Some late submissions are coming in and will be incorporated into the manuscript. The book still is expected to be published in early November in time for holiday shopping.

The next meeting will be held at East Grove Farms Meadery on Oct. 21. The public is invited to attend at 1 p.m.
