Henry County Public Health to hold back-to-school dental screening

Henry County Public Health will be offering free dental screenings for Kindergartners and 9th graders on Thursday, Aug. 19 from 1-6 p.m. Free vision and lead screenings will also be available. No appointment is required.

All Iowa children enrolling in Kindergarten and 9th grade are required to have a dental screening prior to starting school. Residents are asked to only bring children needing services. If you or your child are ill, please stay home.

Adults not vaccinated against COVID-19 should wear a mask and practice social distancing while inside. The screenings will be held at the Public Health office at 106 N. Jackson St. in Mt. Pleasant, and are being provided in partnership with Washington County Public Health and the I-Smile program. Call Henry County Public Health at 319-385-0779 if you have any questions.
