Henry County to allow camping, open shower houses and restrooms June 1

Henry County Conservation has announced that its campgrounds, cabins and facilities will begin Level 2 management and protocols on Monday, June 1.
This entails:
· All camping units allowed.
· Shower houses and restrooms will open with elevated sanitation.
· Restrictions for the total number of people at a campsite will follow State guidelines.
· Vinyl/nitrile gloves and hand sanitizer recommended when using the dump station.
· Firewood sales will be available.
· Playgrounds will still be closed.
· Cabin reservations will open with limitations. Reservations will not be accepted for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Extended stays can be arranged by contacting the Conservation Department Offices.
· Limited summer environmental education programming will be available. Visit www.mycountyparks.com for available programs.
· Shelter house and lodge reservations are permitted following State guidelines for public gatherings of 10 or less people.
· The Oakland Mills Nature Center will open June 6, 2020, observing the following schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays: 4:00 to 6:30 P.M. and Saturdays: 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Occupancy will be limited to 10 or less people in the Nature Center at one time.
· Henry County Conservation Department Offices and Maintenance Building will open with limitations. Please call in advance.
