Henry/Washington Early Childhood board sets meeting

Henry/Washington Early Childhood Area Board will meet on Oct. 2 at 10 a.m., at the Winfield City Council Board Room, 115 North Locust, in Winfield.

Early Childhood Iowa is a statewide initiative that provides local funding for programs serving all families with children up to five years old. The Henry/Washington ECA Board consists of members representing citizens, elected officials, educators, health and human services officials, religious leaders, business owners and consumers.

The Henry/Washington ECA determines community needs for young children, establishes priorities and provides funding for local programs offering services to families who reside in both Henry and Washington counties.
