Heritage Center to host program on Salem slave trial

Henry County Heritage Trust will present a program on Ruel Daggs vs. Elihu Frazier, an 1848 Salem slave case and trial.
Cathy and Dave Helman from the Lewelling Quaker Museum will host the event, which will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10 at the Henry County Heritage Center Museum at 403 West Madison Street in Mt. Pleasant.
Cathy will describe the events leading up to the trial, while Dave will bring to life Reuben Dorland, who testified at the trial.
