High school welcoming award-winning youth speaker

Fairfield High School will host an award-winning youth speaker and teen life coach, Jeff Yalden, at an all-school assembly from 1-2:15 p.m. Thursday.

?We?ve invited the eighth graders also,? said FHS Principal Aaron Becker. ?Yalden will discuss life choices, character, drugs and alcohol, bullying and harassment. He comes highly recommended.?

Yalden also will meet with a student leadership group of about 50 students, for about an hour.

In the evening, parents of FHS and eighth-grade students are invited to attend, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. to hear Yalden?s presentation for parents. Admission is free.

Yalden, the MTV ?Made? teen life coach, will share his message ?Take Time to Think.?

Yalden said his message will affect each student who listens differently. He said his message is really about life and where each student is in his or her life is at the time. He will discuss family, life choices and responsibility.

According to Becker, ?Jeff remarked that we will call this the best assembly we?ve ever had at our school; that for some, the words will be life changing.?

Yalden has captivated more than 3,000 audiences from all over the world. From school assemblies to youth conferences, he has impacted the lives of more than 2 million people in all 50 states and six countries.

A Certified Speaking Professional, the highest designation given by the National Speakers Association for professional speakers, Yalden is in a class with less than 10 percent of all professional speakers worldwide.
