Highland dominates New London Tuesday, bringing them to 2-0
RIVERSIDE ? The Highland Huskies girls? basketball team faced New London at home Tuesday evening.
In the first quarter, Highland out scored New London by 15 points with the score ending at 17 to 2.
During the second quarter, New London scored 13 points but couldn?t overcome Highland?s defense and offense. This led Highland to score another 13 points.

RIVERSIDE ? The Highland Huskies girls? basketball team faced New London at home Tuesday evening.
In the first quarter, Highland out scored New London by 15 points with the score ending at 17 to 2.
During the second quarter, New London scored 13 points but couldn?t overcome Highland?s defense and offense. This led Highland to score another 13 points.
It was in the third quarter that Highland completely took over. They scored 26 points. New London was only able to get five points on the board.
In the fourth quarter Highland added seven more points to their score, while New London gained five.
Highland ended the game with 64 points. New London earned 25.
Highland junior Brylee Carolan was the lead scorer for the team. She earned 22 points, had five defensive rebounds and one offensive rebound.
Senior Kelsey Hora had 16 points, four steals and seven assists.
Aly Stokes and Abbie Miller each scored nine points. Stokes had four offensive rebounds and led with seven defensive rebounds.
?We had a sloppy second quarter, but I was proud of the girls? effort and intensity tonight,? Highland head coach Jody Fink said. ?The third quarter was a huge lift to the team and Brylee Carolan played a tremendous game on both sides of the floor.?
