Highland’s Hazelett named ‘Outstanding Choral Advocate’
Angela Hazelett, principal at Highland Middle School and High School, received the Iowa Choral Directors Association’s “Outstanding Choral Advocate” on July 27, 2022.
Established in 2022, this award recognizes individuals who have supported the advancement of choral music in schools, churches, and communities.
Honorees may be administrators, boosters, community organizations/leaders, workers, patrons, philanthropists, etc. The aim is to celebrate the efforts of dedicated supporters whose work sustains choral activities in Iowa. Hazelett is the first and only administrator in the state of Iowa to receive this distinguished award.
