Hillcrest to host food drive, blood drive
Hillcrest Academy in rural Kalona has announced it will host a blood drive and a food drive later this month.

The Hillcrest Academy Compassion Club is hosting a blood drive from 6:30-10:30 a.m. on March 22 to benefit the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. Each donation saves three to four lives. Call the school's office (319-656-2073) or email Leanne Bender (lbender@hillcrestravens.org) to set up an appointment. All donors welcome.
The Hillcrest Academy National Honor Society will be hosting a food drive for local food pantries. Anyone wishing to contribute to the NHS Food Drive can bring non-perishable food items to the school the week of March 22-26.
Theater students at Hillcrest Academy are rehearsing for the spring drama production, 'Women Who Weave.” Multiple performances will be held on April 10 and 11, with more details to be announced shortly.
