Hillsboro celebrates Christmas

Santa Claus is coming to Hillsboro on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hillsboro Community Center. Mrs. Claus, Rudolf and one of Santa's Elves will be visiting Hillsboro with Santa.

Also, Hillsboro will have a Lighting Contest on Saturday, Dec. 8. Please have your lights on by 6:30 p.m. this day so the judges can judge your display. There will be prizes given for first-place ($15), second place ($10) and third place ($5). The winners will be announced in the following week's papers.

The Hillsboro Baptist Church is having a harvest/holiday dinner at the Hillsboro Community Center on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. The community is invited. Meat, potatoes/gravy, rolls, drink and table service will be provided. We ask that those joining us bring a side dish to share.
