The descendants of the late John and Bertha (Syfert) Carter held their annual family reunion at the Hillsboro Community Center on Sunday, July 28, 2019. There were 28 attending this year.

From Hillsboro: Gene and Linda Carter; Gale and Marie Carter and Cindy; Kelly Carter and Arion Brookhart and friend Megan Reyes and her daughter Noelia. From Birmingham: Betty Wallace. From Keosauqua: Harold and Carol Carter, Deanna Carter and Roger Hastings. From Fairfield: Harry and Marie Clark, Mark and Misti Novak, Megan McCarty and her kids Freya and Killian. From Mt. Pleasant: Aiden Novak. From Davenport: Peggy Crable. From Sherrard, Illinois: Lori Brown. From Colona, Illinois: Richard and Brenda Tines. Sylvis, Illinois: Leo and Pat Pender who came the farthest.

The next Reunion is planned for Sunday, July 26, 2020, to be held at the Hillsboro Community Center.
