Historic Mount Moriah church holds community worship service
Historic Mount Moriah M.E. Church, 1.5 miles north of Douds on 120th Street, will host an annual community worship service in conjunction with the annual Douds Field Day/Douds-Leando Alumni weekend. Everyone is welcome and invited.
A social time with breakfast refreshments begins at 9 a.m., June 24, the worship service is at 10 a.m., the same day, both at the church.

Special musical will be provided during the service.
Mount Moriah church is a former Methodist Country Church built in 1892, replacing two former churches that were built on the site in 1846 and 1867. The church closed in 1958.
It was acquired and completely restored in 1997 by the Douds Historic Preservation Association Inc. and has been the location for weddings, funerals and special services since then.
