The executive board of the Washington County Historical Society met at 9:15 a.m., March 26, at the Washington Public Library. Seven members attended, and Ferd Marie was presiding officer.

The executive board of the Washington County Historical Society met at 9:15 a.m., March 26, at the Washington Public Library. Seven members attended, and Ferd Marie was presiding officer.
The annual dinner will be held on April 27, 2015, at the Marr Park Nature Center. Mike Zahs will give the program on the history of agriculture in Iowa. Members learned that Mike Kramme had written a grant for archival material to be used in the preservation of Society items. Summer hours for Conger House will be 1 to 4 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month, from June through October.
The next meeting will be at 9 a.m., April 23, at Conger House in Washington. Election of board members, each for a three-year term, will be held at the annual meeting.
