Holiday non-perishable food drive being held
The Washington Middle School (WMS) Builder?s Club, together with the Kiwanis AM?ers Service Club, are sponsoring a holiday food drive beginning Tuesday, Nov. 17, and running through Thursday, Dec. 17.
All sixth-seventh-and eighth-grade students are asked to bring at least one non-perishable food item to WMS and drop that item in the ?floor box,? which will be located in the lobby of each floor.

The Washington Middle School (WMS) Builder?s Club, together with the Kiwanis AM?ers Service Club, are sponsoring a holiday food drive beginning Tuesday, Nov. 17, and running through Thursday, Dec. 17.
All sixth-seventh-and eighth-grade students are asked to bring at least one non-perishable food item to WMS and drop that item in the ?floor box,? which will be located in the lobby of each floor.
As part of the Service Club?s Secret Santa Project, all food items will be distributed to needy families in the Washington Community in time for the Christmas holiday.
Suggested items for the donation include: cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, canned fruits, applesauce, canned soups, flour, sugar, packaged cookies, crackers, pudding, jello, fruit cocktail, stuffing mix, cereals, rice, oatmeal, canned pie filling and any other perishable items you may wish to donate.
